Croydon Public School, founded in 1884, is located in a well established residential area in Sydney's inner west. A major reconstruction was undertaken in 1977, balancing the heritage aspect with the need for a modern teaching environment. The school community is diverse in terms of length of residency and cultural mix.
A number of families have attended the school for several generations. Local property redevelopment has led to an increased density of population and a corresponding increase in student population. Community and school expectations are high.
For more information on our school see our school vision and goals (pdf 218 KB)and the outdoor environment plan (pdf 5883 KB).
